Installation Guides

Use these guides before installing TRB POWER batteries, controllers, motors, and performance upgrade kits for electric dirt bikes and e-moto builds. If your build has custom wiring or non-standard parts, contact us before powering the system on.

Read before installation

Disconnect the battery before working on the bike. Inspect every connector, cable, fuse, and mounting point before powering the system on. If you are not experienced with high-output electric systems, use a qualified technician.

1Confirm compatibility

Check your electric dirt bike model, battery voltage, controller rating, connector type, mounting space, and required firmware or app settings before installation.

2Prepare your electric dirt bike

Turn the vehicle off, remove the key, disconnect the original battery, and secure the electric dirt bike on a stand. Keep tools away from exposed terminals.

3Install and route cables

Mount the component without forcing it into the frame. Route cables away from moving parts, sharp edges, heat, and suspension travel.

4Check polarity and connectors

Verify positive and negative polarity before connecting power. Make sure every signal plug, phase wire, and main power connector is fully seated.

5First power-on test

Power on with the rear wheel off the ground. Check for error codes, abnormal heat, unusual sounds, throttle response, and brake cut-off behavior.

6Low-speed test ride

Start with low power settings. Test throttle response, braking, regen behavior, and temperature before riding at full output.
